News and Special Offers
The severe winters a few years ago proved how hardy the majority of the plants we grow are. Many have been in cultivation for many years and we are proud to still have many old varieties available as well as lots of new selections. Some of these plants have interesting histories, which to us is all part of the interest of growing plants.
We will be attending a number of events during the season. Look out for our display and sales tables at Harrogate Spring and Autumn Shows, Malvern Spring and Autumn Shows, Gardening Scotland and the RHS Show at Tatton Park in July plus a new RHS event at Harlow Carr Gardens in June. We will also be attending several of the Alpine Garden Society Shows this year, come along and see our wide range of seasonal plants at Pershore, Harlow, Loughborough, Kendal, Hexham, Chesterfield, Newcastle and may be one or two others. We will also have a range of rarely offered plants for sale at the Scottish Rock Garden Spring Bulb event at Dunblane plus stands at Kincardine, Edinburgh, Perth, Glasgow and the Summer Event at Dunblane amongst others. Please see their web sites for dates, venues and opening hours www.srgc.net and www.alpinegardensociety.net
We should also be at various other Plant Fairs during the year, please enquire. We will also have plants for sale at the various talks we are giving, please see your local programmes or contact us for details. We are always happy to bring any plants you may care to order to shows or talks.
PLEASE NOTE OUR OPENING HOURS FOR 2017.

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS AND AT ALL OTHER TIMES - BY APPOINTMENT
Come along to the Nursery during the spring for a wide selection of Alpines, Dwarf Rhododendrons, Slow Growing Conifers and lots of “Specials” including Erythroniums, Galanthus, Roscoeas etc. then visit us in the autumn months and see the range of Autumn Gentians and many other plants we will have available then, plus we will be lifting and dividing Erythroniums and Trilliums during August/September, so we should have a few interesting bulbs and rhizomes available at the Nursery during that period.
During busy periods and when we are at Flower Shows, the Nursery may not be open every day. If you are coming specially during our busy season or during the winter months, we advise a phone call to check someone will be here to assist you.
We are available to give Talks on Alpines, Primulas, Woodland Plants, Showing and Growing Plants in the North Pennines and other topics with Digital Presentation to Gardening Groups etc. around the country, mainly during the Autumn, Winter and Early Spring.
